Saw 3D is (for the most part) poorly scripted, laughably acted and wears it's low budget like a badge of honor. The one thing it has going for it is a killer of a twist ending, which does nicely wrap up the series, but which I also think has blinded some of the others users on here into thinking they saw a really great film (eg, mrcritic giving it a "9" after admitting the 3D is awful and the acting isn't great -- those are two pretty big factors to only dock 1 point for, in my opinion).

The furnace, and most of the other traps in Saw II, are among my favorites of the series. They're effective, and, like you said, the scene itself was just so well done and awesome.
